Today is Monday and we had a Language Focus Session. We have to tell other students a brief explanation of an article that we read at Metro Newspaper. My article was about Dating Website. We also read an article about two people from Nother Ireland visiting Dublin for first time.
We have a little workshop, lecture and interview with Gerry O'Brien (www.stained-glass-work.com).
We have learn how to cut glasses and some vocabulary related (Cartoon, solder, Glass Cutter, Cement, Fusing, Acid Etching).
In the afternoon we have a session called Professional Development: teachers Talk, teaching and resources.
Our Tutor Anne-Marie give us a lecture about education in Ireland Today. We see some figures and data about Irish Education. I notice Catholic Church is the main institution of education in Ireland. Irish have better results than Spanish on early school leavers.
She explained us teacher's situation today as a Professionals and external assessment system. Finally she gave us some materials that we can use in our classes.
